Trip to Kansas City

Over Veteran's Day weekend (and a few extra days) the five Cockings traveled to Kansas City to spend time with my Grandma Joyce.
This picture of Liam & Paige was taken at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm in Olathe, KS. The Mahaffie farm was a stagecoach stop on the Santa Fe Trail.

They allow their visitors to walk through the grounds and during the summer are have hands-on activities with people in character on the working farm.

On the Mahaffe's front porch.

We headed out to Lawerance, Kansas to visit the Kansas State campus and, of course, to go to the bookstore. It was a beautiful day and we walked quite a bit and had great BBQ in the downtown.

One afternoon we took the kids to Union Station and Crowne Center (Hallmark). There is a great covered, raised walkway between the two buildings and I honestly think they would have been happy to just run through the walkway, above the street and not visit anything in either building!
On our last night in Kansas City we met up with my cousins Angela and Tod and their families for dinner and bowling. Here are Destanni, Trinity, Anna, and Paige at the bowling alley. Anna and Destanni are just three weeks apart!

With Grandma.

The kids LOVED grandma's piano. I think she was playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star with them.
We also had many delicious meals, great company, and many hours swimming in the hotel pool. Thanks for everything Grandma!
