4th of July Camping Trip

We spent our 9th annual 4th of July/Trav's Smart Day celebration with the Yingers and Katie & Cameron at Winchester State Park near Winchester, Idaho. Paige & Jake in the stroller on the way to the parade. We were planning on just watching the parade, but about fifteen minutes before the parade started a man from the campground came around asking the kiddos to be in it and THROW CANDY!!
Here are the kids on the Winchester State Park float. Trav & Ben followed the float. And, we just happened to run into the Moore family in this tiny town of 400 people. (I have know Frank-the dad-since 6th grade from church camp and we even worked together one summer. Everyone else knows the Moore family from Whitworth). This was my favorite float.

Jake as Justin Timberlake.
We had so much fun camping. The kids spent a lot of time "fishing" with their Barbie/Superman fishing poles. We ate delicious food-including S'mores with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups instead of Chocolate bars!!
The town put on a firework show over the lake, which was about 100 yards from our campsite. And, one of my very favorite times was when Cam got out his guitar and we taught the kids (and adults) silly Camp Sawtooth songs.
Looking forward to next year!
